Best Time to Visit

October to March is ideal — the plateau can be extremely hot in summer (43°C+). Post-monsoon (October) the Daroji bears are most active. Hampi festivals happen in November.

Getting There

Hospet/Hampi is well connected by overnight train from Bengaluru (7 hrs). Chitradurga is 200 km from Bengaluru on NH-48 (4 hrs by road). Davangere is on the main Bengaluru–Mumbai rail line.

How Many Days

2 days for Chitradurga + Davangere. 4–5 days combining the fort with Hampi via Hospet. Add Daroji for a half-day wildlife detour — the sloth bear sightings are almost guaranteed in the evening.
